Shershaah: Captain Vikram Batra's Brother Vishal Says His 'Dream Has Come True' As He Thanks Indian Army, Karan Johar And Team

Directed by Vishnuvardhan, Sidharth malhotra and Kiara Advani-starrer Shershaah is making buzz for all the right reasons. The trailer of Shershaah was released on Sunday and it received an amazing response from the audience. The war film is based on the life of Captain Vikram Batra, who sacrificed his life for the country during the Kargil War in 1999. While speaking at the trailer launch of the movie, Captain Vikram Batra's twin brother, Vishal Batra said that it was his dream to make a film on his brother and it came true.
He said, "The dream of making a movie on Vikram began in 2015. When I met CDS Bipin Rawat sir, I told him that I wanted to make a movie and we would not be able to do it without the Army's help. I've been with them (filmmakers) throughout the journey for long. I now hope that the movie, Shershaah and Vikram's journey inspires the youth of the country to join the Indian Army."
At the trailer launch, Sidharth Malhotra, Kiara Advani, Karan Johar, Shabbir Boxwalla, and Vishnuvardhan were all present. Sidharth called 'Shershaah' his most special film.
Sharing a picture from the event, he wrote in the caption, "My passion project, my most special film is finally going to be out there for you to see. And it felt really emotional to showcase the trailer to the Indian Army on this historic day.. The movie that celebrates the courage of Kargil War Hero, Captain Vikram Batra will release ahead of the Independence Day on August 12.
